SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Buckshot Jones and the No.00 Cheez-It team are geared up and ready to tackle the 1.5-mile Lowe's Motor Speedway. Jones and crew look to improve upon past successes and recent experiences in Charlotte.

Jones and the No.00 team plan to use their past performances at Lowe's Motor Speedway to help prepare them to make a run for the checkered flag in the All Pro Bumper to Bumper 300. In only five Busch Series starts at the track, Jones has recorded one top-five and three top-10 finishes. In his most recent Busch Series start at the 1.5-mile oval, Jones managed to move up from the 30th starting spot to finish an impressive fifth place in the 1998 All Pro Bumper to Bumper 300.

"We have had some successful races at the Charlotte track," Jones said. "I always look forward to racing there. Hopefully, this time we can bring home a win."

Along with five Busch Series starts at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Jones competed in his first Winston Cup event at the track earlier this season. He started the Coca-Cola 600 in 18th position and finished 29th after being involved in an accident early in the race.

Jones and the No.00 team gained valuable set-up information when they tested at Lowe's Motor Speedway on September 7. NASCAR rule changes called for added stagger on right side tires. The changes had a positive effect on the Buckshot Racing team.

"The right side tires are bigger than they have been," Jones commented. "The larger tires made the car looser than normal, so we had to make several adjustments. After a while, I became really comfortable with the set-up and ran the best I ever have in Charlotte."

Buckshot Jones and the No.00 team are fired up and ready for victory. After several successful races and strong practice sessions at Lowe's Motor Speedway, big things can be expected from the Cheez-It racing team.
