LAS VEGAS- Pep Boys Indy Racing League driver Donnie Beechler was released Sunday night from University Hospital in good condition after an accident in the Vegas.com 500 earlier that day, said Dr. Henry Bock, league director of medical services.

Beechler was transported to the hospital with soreness in his neck and chest after his Big Daddys BBQ Sauce and Spices Dallara/Aurora/Firestone hit the outside retaining wall on Lap 124 of the 208-lap race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. No damage was found in a precautionary examination and X-rays.

Beechler should be recovered sufficiently to participate in the season-ending Lone Star 500 on Oct. 17 at Texas Motor Speedway, Bock said.
