Formula One: Ticket order forms for U.S. Grand Prix at Indianapolis to be mailed today

INDIANAPOLIS -- Ticket order forms for the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis will be mailed Friday, Sept. 17. The race will take place on Sept. 24, 2000, subject to application of the date from the ACCUS and ratification by the FIA.

Current ticket holders for the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 will automatically receive an order form. Others should request an order form by sending a postcard with name and address to United States Grand Prix, P.O. Box 24915, Speedway, IN 46224. Forms can also be obtained by e-mail at tickets@brickyard.com or by calling (800) 822-4639.

The Formula One race will take place on a permanent 2.61-mile (4.20-kilometer) circuit at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The three-day event will be the first Formula One race in America since 1991.

Orders will be accepted by mail only beginning Oct. 1 and must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, money order, company check or personal check made payable to the United States Grand Prix. If you are paying by credit card, include type of credit card (MasterCard, VISA or American Express only are accepted), the card number, expiration date, daytime telephone number and sign your name exactly as it appears on the card.

Race-day ticket prices for reserved seating will range from $45 to $150, comparable to prices for the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 at the Speedway.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will make every effort to accommodate all ticket requests, based on demand and availability of requested locations. Tickets for the inaugural Grand Prix will be mailed after Aug. 1, 2000.

General-admission tickets will be available for Friday and Saturday of race week. Prices of general admission will be announced at a later date.
