28 - Kenny Irwin - Texaco Havoline Taurus: (finished 5th)

"They told me ten laps to go, and then they told me five, and I'd lost a little ground since then. But those last couple laps we just pushed a little harder and the tires stuck. These guys did a great job all day. We kind of went back and forth. We'd be running eighth and then we'd be running 15th. The guys worked on the car all night and did a good job so I'm glad we ended up with a top-five."

YOU THOUGHT BEFORE TONIGHT THIS WAS YOUR BEST CHANCE TO WIN ALL YEAR LONG, BUT DOES THIS QUALIFY AS A HAPPY RUN FOR YOU?

"Oh, it does, it does. A couple times in the middle of the race I could see it was slipping away from us when we weren't getting the track position that we needed. But it's a top-five, and I haven't had a top-five in a while. I'll definitely take it here."

NICE KIND OF SHOT IN THE ARM COMING DOWN THE STRETCH HERE.

"Yeah, yeah it was good. I'm just glad we run good. I knew we could run good. I'm just glad we did. It just makes me feel good."
