SCCA: Vancouver World Challenge Penalties Levied

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.-- SCCA Pro Racing has levied the following penalties after the Speedvision World Challenge race during the Molson Indy Vancouver weekend, September 4:

No. 3 Peter Kitchak (GT) - One lap penalty and two-race probation for passing and endangering the pace car after the pit exit was closed.

No. 19 Michael Galati (Touring) - 13-second and one-point penalty for being out of order on a restart. Three-race probation for rough driving.

No. 32 Bobby Archer (GT)- 10-second penalty and two-race probation for excessive pit lane speed and unsportsmanlike conduct.

No. 42 Pierre Kleinubing (Touring) - Three-race probation for rough driving.

No. 43 Hugh Plumb (Touring) - Three-race probation for rough driving.

The penalties change the podium of each class, with Scotty B. White, of Puyallup, Wash., taking the GT class over Paul Brown, of Omaha, Neb., (provisionally fourth) and Bobby Archer, of Ft. Worth, Texas. In Touring Car, Hugh Plumb, of Chadds Ford, Pa., took the win over teammates Pierre Kleinubing, of Erexim, Brazil, (provisionally third) and Kevin Schrantz, of Boulder, Colo. (provisionally fourth). The podium sweep by RealTime Racing in Touring Car was the first since Archer Racing accomplished the feat at Miami in 1994.
