NASCAR Trucks: Spicer To Sponsor Bobby Hamilton's #4 Dana Truck at Richmond

Lebanon, Tenn.-Bobby Hamilton will be sporting the Spicer brand name on the side of his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series entry in the running of the Virginia is for Lovers 200 at Richmond International Raceway.Spicer brand with its driveshafts, U-joints, and axles will move to the primary sponsor position on the #4 Dana Dodge for this race only.
"We're always excited when Dana companies want to get more involved with the team," said Bobby Hamilton. "We've had some good runs with the number 4 truck but unfortunately bad luck has kept us out of a top finish. I think Richmond may be different. I really like running that track and I won there in a Busch car so I'm pretty excited about what the Dana team can do."
Spicer products can be found on virtually every vehicle in North American and Worldwide. They produce multiple sizes and applications of driveshafts, U-joints, and axles for both passenger cars and trucks. In other words, if it is on the highway then chances are there is a Spicer part on board.
This sponsorship also marks the first time that Spicer has gotten involved at this level in motorsports marketing.
"This is just another great example of how Dana brands are getting more involved with the racing program," said Armedee Nadeau, Manager of Dana Motorsports. "We have a good program that has been on a big upward shift in the last few months, so maybe our brands can utilize this and it will benefit all of us."
Spicer will continue to be one of the Dana brands that is present on the Joe Ruttman #18 Dana Dodge truck, which competes full-time on the NASCAR Truck Series for Bobby Hamilton Racing.
The Virginia is for Lovers 200 will be Hamilton's fourth start of the year and eleventh of his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career.
