August 23, 1999 -- MB2 Motorsports driver Ernie Irvan was released from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital on Monday afternoon and is recuperating at home with his family. An announcement regarding Irvan's driving status for this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway will be forthcoming.
