NASCAR GDS: Britts named NAPA Rookie of the Race at Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Jimmy Britts piloted the # 88 Cornerstone Racing, NAPA, Fast Wax, Crane & Rigging Services Pontiac Sunfire to a series leading fifth NAPA Filters Rookie of the Race Award Saturday Night at Myrtle Beach Speedway. Starting from the sixth position, Britts moved quickly to the second spot. Four caution periods and 67 laps later Jimmy took the Checkered Flag, finishing a close second to NASCAR Goody's Dash Series point leader Robert Huffman and posting his fifth top five finish this year.Jimmy regained the lead in the NAPA Filters Rookie of the Year points chase and remains in fifth place in the Goody's Dash Series points. Britts narrowed the gap, with just 109 points now between second and fifth place.
Britts, 95 NASCAR All Pro Rookie of the Year and 96 Florida Pro Series Champion, is running for the NAPA Filters Rookie of the Year Award and the NASCAR Goody's Dash Championship.
