IRL: Cheever, Unser Fined $5,000 Each

INDIANAPOLIS - Pep Boys Indy Racing League officials announced today that drivers Eddie Cheever Jr. and Robby Unser will be fined for their actions following the MBNA Mid-Atlantic 200 at Dover Downs International Speedway Sunday, Aug. 1.

Cheever and Unser will be fined $5,000 each for unsportsmanlike conduct and conduct detrimental to the sport of auto racing. In addition, League officials will be investigating driver Scott Harrington's on-track conduct during the running of the event to determine what sanctions, if any, are necessary.
