* Bobby Labonte won the Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono International Raceway, his third victory in 1999. It is his 10th career victory in 209 NASCAR Winston Cup races. His most recent victory came in the Pocono 500 four races ago. It is his 14th top-10 finish, including 13 top-fives, in 19 races this season. He moved into a tie with Donnie Allison for 42nd on the all-time winners list.
* This was Labontes second victory in 14 races at Pocono. He became the first driver to perform a sweep since Jeff Gordon swept both races at Rockingham in 1998 and the first to sweep Pocono since Tim Richmond won both Pocono races in 1986. This is the 13th sweep in 119 opportunities since 1990. This is the first sweep by a Pontiac at the Pennsylvania track since twice-a-year racing began here in 1982 and the first sweep by a Pontiac since Rusty Wallace won both races at Rockingham in 1993.
* Labonte led two times for 38 of the 200 laps raced. Mike Skinner led 51 of the 200 laps raced, the most of all drivers. Skinner is the eighth different driver to lead the most laps in a race this season.
* Bobby Labonte is the only driver to lead at least one lap in 17 of the 19 races this season.
* Of the top-five drivers in the NASCAR Winston Cup point standings, NASCAR Winston Cup points leader Dale Jarrett has earned the least number of lap/leader bonus points and has led the fewest races among those five drivers.
* Ford continues to lead the manufacturers points race with nine victories and 135 points. Chevrolet has six victories and 118 points while Pontiac now has four victories and 108 points.

* Dale Jarrett holds a 254-point lead over second-place Mark Martin, the biggest point margin of the 1999 season.
* Jarrett (second) scored his 16th straight top-10 finish this season. Jarrett has scored top-five finishes in eight of the last nine races at Pocono.
* Mark Martin (third) scored his 15th top-10 finish in 1999 and moved into second in the NASCAR Winston Cup point standings. This was his 19th top-10 finish in 26 races at Pocono. Martin has finished in the top 10 in nine consecutive races at Pocono.
* Tony Stewart (fourth) tied his career best finish of fourth for the fourth time in 1999 and was the highest finishing rookie for the 18th time this season. This was Stewarts 11th top-10 finish in 19 races in 1999.
* Wally Dallenbach (fifth) scored his sixth career top-five finish and first ever on a track other than a road course. It was his best Pocono finish in 14 races here.
* Rich Bickle (seventh) scored his second top-10 finish in 1999 and best career finish at Pocono
* Bobby Labonte and Rick Mast are the only drivers to compete in all 19 races in 1999 that have not posted a DNF.
* The NASCAR Winston Cup Leader bonus rolls over to $30,000 for the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
* Kevin Lepage led three laps today, the first time in his 49 career NASCAR Winston Cup races that he has led a race. Lepage became the 37th different driver to lead a lap this season.
