Russell/USAC: McQuarrie Ready for Triple Crown Round 2 at Sears Point

Tyler McQuarrie of Silverston, England leads the Russell/USAC Triple Crown Pro Series Presented by Yokohama into round two this weekend at Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. McQuarrie won the series opener June 26 at Sears Point and holds a four-point lead over Nathan Smith in the standings entering this week's 30-minute race.Following a sell-out of its season opening race, the Russell USAC Triple Crown Pro Series has announced an additional date for this season. Thunderhill Park, a 15-turn, 3-mile road course in Willows, Calif., will host a September 25 race, becoming the third of four rounds.
Each of the 16 competitors in the series, now inn its 15th year, is vying for championship honors and a variety of cash and racing prizes, including a test with a top US F2000 team.
