USAC: Speedrome Race to Campbell, Point Lead to Young

Daryl Campbell of Indianapolis, Ind. scored his second 50-lap victory of the 1999 Indianapolis Speedrome Midget Car Series Wednesday night and will try for a third win this Wednesday night at the 1/5-mile paved oval.

Campbell put his AFCO Shocks & Springs/Jack's Frozen Pizza VW into the lead with a 14th-lap pass of Ron Hamm and led the rest of the way to beat Norm Young, Adam Nuetzel, Gregg Cory and Michael Lang to the checkered flag. Campbell and Young won the preliminary heat races.

Young's finish boosted him back in front of Lang as the series point leader entering this Wednesday night's program, which includes another 50-lap feature.
