LAST YEAR A RECONDITIONER PUT DOWN ON THE TRACK SURFACE PLAYED A ROLE IN TEAM'S CHASSIS SETUPS. DO YOU THINK IT WILL HAVE AN EFFECT AGAIN THIS YEAR?
Jimmy Makar - Interstate Batteries Pontiac of Bobby Labonte - "I think it could. Anytime you put down a sealer or conditioner it tends to make the race track change throughout the period that the stuff wears. We'll just have to wait and see when we get up there what it's like. But it could have an effect. We're excited about going back to Loudon. We ran better there the last race last year then we had run previously. The first part of this year our flat, short track programs have been good for us and we feel like we can be competitive when we get back there. That's the main thing, we feel more competitive as we go back to this type of track."
Larry McReynolds - Lowe's Home Improvement Chevrolet of Mike Skinner - "I don't think so. Mike had a career best top-five finish last year in this race. Our flat, short track program seems to be real good. The last one was Richmond and it looked like nothing could keep us from winning the race, but a lapped car got us with 40 or 50 laps to go. That type of track seems to suit Mike and we have a good handle. Hopefully, we get our program turned around before we hit the track. The car we're taking is the one we ran in Martinsville. The car we would've run was the one we damaged in Richmond. We're looking forward to going there because we ran well there both races last year."
Robin Pemberton - Miller Lite Ford of Rusty Wallace - "I'm sure it will effect everybody. We've struggled there on and off. We don't really have a good base to go back to. We're going to attack this race like we've never been there before. I'm sure the track conditioner will play a role in qualifying and the race. But, that track goes through a change every year with the cold winters and everything."
