NASCAR WCUP: Dale Jarrett and Gary McCord Trade 'Driving Tips'

DALE JARRETT -88- Quality Care Service/Ford Credit Taurus driver and Senior PGA Tour player GARY McCORD exchanged "driving tips" prior to the Ford Senior Players Championship Pro Am at the Dearborn Tournament Players Club today. The two met at the Ford Test Track in Dearborn where Jarrett explained and showed McCord some of the finer points of cornering, braking and shifting in an SVT Contour. McCord then took several laps on the Dearborn handling track under Jarrett's guidance. The pair also took turns driving an SVT F-150 Lightning to get the feel of a truck and an automatic transmission on the track. Then Jarrett ended the session by giving McCord an "at speed" ride in the SVT Mustang Cobra.

Jarrett and McCord then went on to the Tournament Players Club where McCord tutored Jarrett on golf technique. A press conference followed at the TPC media center.

Both then played in the Pro Am.
