CREW CHIEF SHOP TALK:
* "We're taking the same car we ran last week at Michigan," said Sam Johns. "It is a pretty good racecar. We took it back to the shop and went to work on the front end to try and give it more downforce. We think that the added downforce will help with the way the car handles.
"We felt like we had a better car last week than our finish showed. Saturday night's rain washed all of the rubber off the track, which tightened up the track a lot. We were real tight to begin with and because the race went green for the entire 400 miles we weren't able to adjust the car as often as we needed to."
SKOAL RACING TEAM NEWS:
* The Skoal Racing team went to Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, S.C., on Monday to shake down their road course car in preparation for the Save Mart/Kragen 350 at Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma, Calif., on June 27.
* Schrader will be busy short track racing in the Midwest this week. He is scheduled to race his late model stock car at Macon Speedway in Macon Ill., on Tuesday and then compete at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Ill., on Wednesday.
