NHRA: Underdahl Joins TAS Racing with Major Sponsorship

Chicago - Things can't be better after taking runner-up to Angelle Seeling last race in Englishtown. Sitting currently fifth in NHRA Winston Championship Points, only 45 point from second, and now has the fire raging for a win.

This week, Underdahl reached an agreement with George Tamasi's, to become the newest member of his "TAS Racing" NHRA super team. Underdahl's previous major sponsor of five years, NCN Communications, will be stepping down to associate sponsor level, to allow the team to advance to the next level.TAS Racing currently includes NHRA sportsman drivers George Tamasi Jr. and Scotty Richardson, who compete in NHRA Super Comp and Super Stock.

"Tamasi has been looking to branch out into the professional ranks, and after a few serious discussions, we reached an agreement which was mutually right for both of us" said Underdahl.

Underdahl's sponsorship includes financial support for all remaining events in the 1999 season, with possibilities of entering the new millenium together.

The team's associate sponsors remain on board, and include Vance and Hines Racing, Freedom Motorsports, Royal Purple, Phillips 66 Racing Fuels, NCN Communications and Prolong.
