Trans-Am: AutomationDirect to Sponsor Road Atlanta BFGoodrich Trans-Am Series

ENGLEWOOD, Colo--Automationdirect.com has been named race sponsor for the BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series July 25 event at Road Atlanta, in Braselton, Ga.

The race will be called the Automationdirect.com Trans-Am 100, headlining the Trans-Am Southern Dash weekend, featuring the SCCA Pro Racing-sanctioned BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am, the Speedvision World Challenge Championships, the Pro Spec Racer series and the U.S. F2000 National Championship presented by Speedvision.

In addition to sponsoring the Road Atlanta Trans-Am race, Automationdirect.com, based in Cumming, Ga., is also the primary sponsor of Johnny Miller IV's No. 64 Automationdirect.com Chevrolet Camaro in the Trans-Am Series.

The Trans-Am Series last competed at Road Atlanta in 1995, a contest won by Tom Kendall. The Automationdirect.com Trans-Am 100 will be the Trans-Am Series' 11th race at Road Atlanta, dating to 1973.
