WoO: Unfinished Outlaw Business in Bloomington

19 May 1999

BLOOMINGTON, IN-- Much has happened in the ranks of the Pennzoil World of Outlaws since April 14. With Mark Kinser, Danny Lasoski and Sammy Swindell registering multiple feature race wins, and Steve Kinser scoring back-to-back victories, the battle for the Outlaws championship continues to be hot.

On Wednesday, May 19, the Pennzoil World of Outlaws return to Bloomington Speedway for a special double-feature event, and a total purse exceeding $90,000.

First up will be completion of the 40-lap, $8,000-to-win, A-Feature that was washed-out in April. The lineup boasts 15-time World of Outlaws champion Steve Kinser on the pole and current All Stars point leader Jac Haudenschild outside the front row. After blazing the fastest lap ever recorded in World of Outlaws qualifying, a 9.388 second circuit, Joey Saldana will start the race ninth. Sammy Swindell starts fourth, Lasoski fifth, and Mark Kinser will take the green from 14th.

A complete Pennzoil World of Outlaws program will follow. The night will conclude with a second 40-lap, $8,000-to-win, A-Feature.

All gates open at 3:00 on Wednesday, May 19. With two feature races on tap, general admission is $30. Fans with ticket stub-rain checks from April 14 will be admitted for $20, a $10 discount. There is no advance ticket sales or reserved seating. Fans age 6 to 12 are $5 with an adult, and under 6 are free. Pit admission is $30.
