NHRA: JEG'S Mail Order Racing Team Friday Pit Notes
1 May 1999
The conditions here at Virginia Motorsports Park are simply great. Today gave both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Truck the best conditions that we have seen so far during the '99 NHRA season. We have already seen record breaking runs today, if it stays the same we will see more tomorrow.Troy Coughlin/Pro Stock:
After the second session Troy sits on the bubble in the number sixteen position. "I really felt like we would make a better run then we did during the second session. The conditions were there and we just didn't capitalize when we needed to," noted Troy.
Jeg Coughlin/Pro Stock:
The younger brother of the Coughlin Pro Stock duo is on the outside looking in from the number twenty-one spot. "We ran into transmission problems during the third session, it would not come out of low gear. I forced to shut off. I am extremely confident that our team we get this figured out and we will be racing on Sunday," said Jeg.
Mike Coughlin/Pro Stock Truck:
"We have a great baseline to work from for tomorrow. After looking through the data we know what we did wrong and we know how to fix it, which is a great feeling," said Coughlin. Mike and his #28 JEG'S Mail Order Chevy S-10 are currently in the number twelve spot with one session to go.
