30 April 1999
Peter Cunningham will enter a four-car team of Acura Integra Rs for the 1999 Speedvision Touring Car Championship, including two returning drivers and two newcomers. The possibility still exists for a fifth RealTime Integra, but no driver has been announced. Cunningham's driver line-up will return 1997 World Challenge T2 Drivers' Champion Pierre Kleinubing (No. 43 RealTime Racing Acura Integra R) and Fred Meyer (No. 45 RealTime Racing Acura Integra R).
Leading the duo of newcomers to the RealTime Racing Team is 1998 T2 Rookie of the Year Hugh Plumb. Plumb (No. 44 RealTime Racing Acura Integra R) earned Rookie of the Year honors by a single point after a season-long battle with Will Turner, and scored his first career World Challenge win at Mid-Ohio last June.
Rounding out the team will be Speedvision Touring Car Championship Rookie of the Year hopeful Kevin Schrantz, who has spent much of his auto racing career on the ice. Schrantz is an instructor at the Bridgestone Winter Driving School as well as lead instructor for RealTime Logistics.
The RealTime Racing Team recently moved its operations to a brand-new race shop in Saukville, Wis.
