NHRA: JEG'S Mail Order Racing Saturday Pit Notes

25 April 1999

Jeg Coughlin/#2 Pro Stock:

The Castrol Nationals has proved to be a bad dream for Jeg Coughlin. This is the first DNQ of the '99 NHRA season for the young and very talented driver. "We simply had some bad luck and made some bad decisions. I didn't get down the track until the final session and it just wasn't enough to make the field," said Jeg. "This is one race out of a twenty-two race schedule."

Troy Coughlin/#24 Pro Stock:

Troy will face off against Allen Johnson in round number one, with lane choice going to Johnson. "After a disappointing DNQ at the last race it feels good to be back behind the wheel of the JEG'S Mail Order Olds Cutlass on race day," noted Coughlin. Troy was in the number four position going into the race and looks to gain more valuable NHRA Winston points. Due to the misfortunes of his younger brother Jeg, Troy will move ahead one spot in the points before the race even starts.
