NASCAR-WCUP: Ted Musgrave to Drive Polaris Ford Taurus

MINNEAPOLIS - Polaris Sales Inc. announced today that it is increasing its involvement with Remington Arms Company, Inc. and will be the primary sponsor of the No. 75 Ford Taurus driven by Ted Musgrave for 12 races during the 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup season.Beginning with the TranSouth Financial 400 in Darlington, S.C. on March 21, the No. 75 Polaris Ford will run a new blue and yellow paint scheme with Polaris on the hood and rear quarter panels. The blue and yellow Polaris Ford also will run at Miami on November 14th and the NASCAR season finale race in Atlanta on November 21st.
At the following nine races Polaris will be the primary sponsor with Polaris logos on the hood and rear quarter panels and the car will keep its current yellow and green paint scheme: Bristol - April 11, Martinsville - April 18, Talladega - April 25, Bristol - August 28, Darlington - September 3, Richmond - September 11, Martinsville - October 3, Charlotte - October 10, Talladega - October 17. In addition to becoming primary sponsor of the No. 75 team for 12 races, Polaris has also worked with team owner Butch Mock to open a state-of-the-art Polaris dealership in Mooresville next door to the team's race shop.
Polaris became an associate sponsor of the No. 75 Remington Arms/Polaris Ford Taurus prior to the 1998 Winston Cup season. Since that time, Polaris has increased its motorsports marketing efforts by forming "PRO Team Polaris" a collection of well-known drivers including Rusty Wallace, Richard Petty, Al Unser Jr. and Ted Musgrave -to represent Polaris products in the marketplace by participating in television commercials, print ads, product videos and personal appearances.
Polaris designs, engineers, manufactures and markets snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, Victory motorcycles, personal watercraft, and the Polaris RANGER for recreational and utility use.
