Punta Gorda, Fla. - This coming Saturday night at Charlotte County Speedway, the thundering Late Model Supertrucks of the Myakka Brokers Southern Pro Truck Series will take to the track for the X1R Performance Lubricants Challenge and it is shaping up to be one of the most exciting nights of racing action in quite a while. 75 laps of fender rubbing, tire burning action is on tap as these full size and V-8 powered trucks traverse the 3/8 mile oval at speeds above 100 mph.! These aint your family pickups!

Leading the series into Charlotte County will be 1998 Champion and winner of the first race of the season at Citrus County Speedway in Inverness, Fla., Butch Yoakam of Newport Richie, Fla. in his flying Ford F-150. Leading Rookie of the Year contender and the fast qualifier at the last race, Rusty Dixon of Riverview, Fla. in yet another Ford will once again be on hand to challenge Yoakam and try to improve on his second place finish in Inverness.
