NASCAR-BGN: Fuller Set for a Run of Good Luck in Las Vegas

5 March 1999

LAS VEGAS --- For most people a trip to Las Vegas brings the dream of winning money at the blackjack table, hitting the jackpot on the slot machines, or having the luck of a good roll on the craps table. For Heritage Consumer Products Busch Grand National driver, the dream of winning his second career Busch Grand National race comes to mind. Fuller would gladly take a streak of bad luck in a casino in order to have good luck in the Sam's Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

After two races in the Busch Grand National season this year, Fuller and a large group of cars will venture west to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend. Fuller competed in the inaugural Sam's Town 300 in 1997. Unfortunately his day ended early with engine trouble after starting in 16th position. Fuller hopes to improve on that run and register his first top-ten of the young season.

"We are really excited about getting to Las Vegas this weekend," Fuller said. "I enjoyed the challenge of driving the speedway two years ago, it has two grooves and lots of opportunities for good hard racing. We are hoping to use all of our luck at the race track and have a great weekend."

Fuller will take to the track for practice and qualifying on Friday and take the green flag on Saturday afternoon at 4:00pm EST. The race will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and Motor Racing Network.
