IRL: Foyt, Kelley, Bradley Teams Enter 83rd Indy 500

INDIANAPOLIS - Three of the Pep Boys Indy Racing League's leading teams - A.J. Foyt Enterprises, Kelley Racing and Bradley Motorsports - filed entries for the 83rd Indianapolis 500 on March 1. Four teams now are entered for the world's most prestigious race, May 30 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Dick Simon Racing was the first entrant, on Feb. 19, just two days after entry invitations were mailed to eligible race teams.
The entry deadline is midnight April 9.
Four-time Indianapolis winner Foyt entered primary and backup Dallara/Aurora cars for defending Pep Boys Indy Racing League champion Kenny Brack and defending Indy PPG Pole winner Billy Boat. Brack is entered in the #14 A.J. Foyt-Power Team Racing Dallara/Aurora; Boat in the #11 A.J. Foyt Racing Dallara/Aurora.
Kelley Racing entered primary and backup Dallara/Aurora/Goodyear cars for 1996 Indy Racing League co-champion Scott Sharp and Mark Dismore. Sharp will drive the #8 Delphi Automotive Systems entry; Dismore in the #28 MCI WorldCom entry.
Bradley Motorsports will field a primary and backup #12 Bradley Food Marts/Sav-O-Mat Dallara/Aurora/Firestone for 1996 Indy Racing League co-champion Buzz Calkins.
