ARCA Trucks Ready to Roll in 99

27 February 1999

The ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series will officially blast off its inaugural championship season in 1999 with as many as 16 dates in at least 5 states to include Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and possibly West Virginia.

The new series, an evolution of the ARCA Pro-4 modified division, will debut their Chevy S-10, Ford Ranger, Dodge Dakota and Toyota Tacoma body-style race trucks at Flat Rock Speedway on May 15th and again return to the banked mile Michigan oval for a July 3rd event, one that will be taped for SPEEDVISION.

Additional Michigan tracks showcasing the ARCA Trucks include Owosso Speedway in Ovid and on the clay at Thunderbird Raceway in Muskegon. Ohio tracks taking on the trucks in 99 include the ultra-fast Toledo Speedway, Shady Bowl and Kil Kare Speedways. The trucks will get busy in Indiana as well with shows at the famed Winchester and Salem Speedways as well as Anderson Speedway and Baer Field Raceway. The August 20th Winchester date is also scheduled to be televised for SPEEDVISION. Two additional clay venues appear on the schedule, one at LaSalle Speedway in Illinois and the other at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, Pennsylvania.

Tentative dates include Delaware Speedway Park in Delaware Ontario, Canada, Kalamazoo Speedway in Michigan and West Virginia Motor Speedway in Parkersburg.
