Nadeau posted the best finish of his career -- 11th -- in the 1999 season opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. He is currently tied with Terry Labonte for 20th position in the NASCAR Winston Cup points standings after finishing 31st at North Carolina Speedway on Feb. 21.
1998 Stats and Facts:
Nadeau was unable to qualify for the inaugural Las Vegas 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 1998. His highest finish in 1998 was 15th at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International. His best qualifying performance was at Sears Point (Sonoma, Calif.) Raceway where he posted the second-fastest speed in time trials.
Nadeau's Thoughts on Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
"I've only done about 10 laps at Las Vegas, and that was during a practice session before last year's race. I hope Lady Luck will be a little kinder to us this year, though.
"We should be able to qualify well this year. Making the field during first-round qualifying is a big necessity for us so we can spend the rest of our practice time working on the race setup, since the other teams have an extra year of experience on us at this track. "
