NASCAR: Irwin and Harvick to appear at Cleveland Auto Show

LORAIN, OH-- NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team Liberty Racing will be offering race fans in Northern Ohio the unique opportunity to meet two of NASCARs top young stars when the teams new driver Kevin Harvick joins the teams former driver Kenny Irwin at the Cleveland Auto Show. The pair will appear together at the Liberty Ford display area during the auto shows NASCAR Night festivities on Wednesday, March 3 at the IX Center in Cleveland. The drivers will meet the public and personally sign autographs from 6 to 8 p.m."This is a great opportunity for the many NASCAR fans in the Cleveland area and throughout Northern Ohio to meet two of the best young drivers in NASCAR," Liberty Racing team owner Jim Herrick said. "Bringing together our current and former drivers will be a lot of fun for our race team and a real treat for the race fans. I am sure that over their careers, Kevin and Kenny will make challenging each other for victory lane a regular occurrence."
Harvick, who will make his debut with Liberty Racing at the season-opening NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event on March 20 at Homestead Motorsports Complex, is a 23-year-old native of Bakersfield, Calif. He is the 1998 NASCAR Winston West Series Champion after posting five victories last season. Harvick will be driving the No. 98 Porter-Cable Power Tools Ford for Liberty Racing.
Irwin, who won two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races for Liberty Racing during the 1997 season, is a 29-year-old native of Indianapolis. He is the 1998 NASCAR Winston Cup Series rookie of the year. He drives the No. 28 Texaco Havoline Ford for Robert Yates Racing.
In addition to the driver autograph session, Liberty Racings No. 98 Porter-Cable Power Tools Ford F-150 will appear throughout the show, held February 27 through March 7, in the Liberty Ford display area.
