NASCAR GDS: Practice Date Announced for Lowes Motor Speedway at Charlotte

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA.-NASCAR officials in Daytona Beach Fla., announced today the test date for practice for the Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring teams as they prepare for the 3rd Annual Tom Johnson Camping Center / Easy Care Vehicle Service Contracts 100 at the newly named Lowes Motor Speedway at Charlotte, in Charlotte, N.C. on May 26.The schedule will have the teams entering the Speedway at 1PM on Mon., Apr. 26 to park the haulers and begin the unofficial tech inspection line. Scales and templates will be available for the teams to do self-inspection of their vehicles prior to, and during the practice sessions.
Practice on the track will run that evening from 5 PM to 10 PM and will be scheduled in 30 min. periods, alternating sessions with ARCA teams who will be there for practice on the same evening. Tentatively, the Goody's Dash Series will have the track available to them from 5 to 5:30, 6 to 6:30, 7 to 7:30, 8 to 8:30 and from 9 to 9:30 PM.
Goody's Dash Series Director, Mike Simons reminds all drivers who have not previously competed at the Lowes Motor Speedway or at Daytona International Speedway, that they must complete a resume specifying their racing experience and that resume must be submitted to NASCAR for consideration and approval prior their being allowed to practice.
