LEGENDS: Goodguys Announce 1999 PPG Legends Tour

Alamo, CA - Hot rodding custom body & paint legends Art Himsl and Sam Foose will hit the road in 1999 and will travel to five Goodguys Rod & Custom Association national events as PPG presents "The Legends Tour." Himsl and Foose will travel to Indy for the 11th Goodguys/NHRA Hot Rod Nationals June 11, 12 & 13, then it's off to conduct paint & body seminars in Columbus, Ohio for the Goodguys Nationals, July 9, 10 & 11; Puyallup, Washington for the 12th Pacific Northwest Nationals July 16, 17 & 18; Pleasanton for the 13th West Coast Nationals August 27, 28 & 29 then the tour will wrap up in Colorado at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Colorado Springs for the 2nd Colorado Classic September 10, 11 & 12. Himsl will make the trip in his radically customized 1958 Chevy Wagon named "Platinum Illusion," while Foose will drive his cool yellow 1941 Ford custom convertible. Both will drive each leg of the tour.Once at the events, rodders, enthusiasts and do-it-yourselfers will get the ultimate treat as PPG will sponsor seminars featuring both Himsl and Foose. The seminars will begin with technical information from PPG company reps explaining products and services, then the forum will be turned over to the two rodding legends as they share their secrets and short cuts! Having a chance to interact directly with two of rodding most renowned paint artists is a once in a lifetime chance and there will be extensive Q & A sessions with both Himsl and Foose. The seminars will all be held during each of the four respective events, so once you arrive at the facility, make sure and get tuned in on where the seminars will be held and expand your knowledge on how to prep and paint a street rod or custom!
