IRL, NHRA: Brack, Amato and Etchells the Latest to Join Pennzoil Motorsports '99 Auto Racing Trade Show

FORT WASHINGTON, PA-Pep Boys Indy Racing League champion Kenny Brack, driver of the A.J. Foyt owned Power Team entry, will be appearing at the Pennzoil Motorsports '99 Auto Racing Trade Show. Brack will be joining at least 50 other professional racers and industry personalities participating in the 14th annual edition of the show.

In addition drag racers Joe Amato and Funny car racer Chuck Etchells will be appearing as representatives of Auto Vent Shade. Amato is a five time champion on the NHRA Top Fuel drag racing circuit and Etchells is one of the top campaigners on the NHRA Funny Car circuit and was a multi event winner.
The three day show opens at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 15 at 1 p.m. and runs through 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 17th. More than 50,000 people are expected to attend the Pennzoil Motorsports Auto Racing Trade Show which will fill more than 270,000 square feet of the Fort Washington, PA Expo Center. The show is the largest event presented at the facility.
Brack, a winner on the Pep Boys Indy Racing League circuit in 1998, will join other Power Team sponsored racers. Geoffrey Bodine, a NASCAR Winston Cup racer, and Joe Bessey, a NASCAR Busch Series racer, both sponsored by the Power Team, will be at the show.
In addition drag racing fans will have plenty of autographs to collect as drag racers Joe Amato and Chuck Etchells will be joined by Bruce Allen, Cruz Pedregon, Mike Thomas, Cory McClenathan, Antron Brown (who ride a Pro Stock motorcycle owned by Philadelphia Eagles Troy Vincent, "Big Daddy" Don Garlits, Bunny Burkett, former world champion Bruce Larsen and others.
Show attendees are reminded that the Pennzoil Motorsports '99 Show is different from many other sports shows that offer autograph opportunities. Once the admission ticket is purchased there are no additional charges for autographs. There will be no less than five two hour autograph sessions that feature many of the best known names in motorsports.
Two time NASCAR Winston Cup champion will be at the show on Friday, January 15, at 7 p.m. Joining Labonte during the weekend will be Winston Cup racers Jeremy Mayfield, Bobby Labonte, Steve Park, Ken Schrader and Chad Little. From NASCAR Busch Series competition there will be Justin Labonte, Blaise Alexander and current champion Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Indianapolis car racing will be represented by, in addition to Kenny Brack, Johnny Rutherford, Indy 500 winner Eddie Cheever, David Steele abd former Indy racer Bob Harkey.
The show will include more than 400 different displays covering all types of motorsports. Fans will be able to see new products plus pick up schedules from a number of speedways and racing organizations participating in the show.
It is expected that more than 150 race vehicles of all types will be on display during the three day show.
Fans and racers are also invited to participate in a number of special attractions, seminars and "hands on exhibits."
Admission for adults is $10.00 or $25.00 for a three day show ticket. Young people, 6 through 12 are admitted for just $3.00 and youngsters under 6 are admitted free when attending with an adult.
The Philadelphia Daily News and Philadelphia Inquirer are media sponsors for the show. In addition to running some full page ads on the show, the newspapers will offer a special bag of goodies, including posters for autographing, during the show.
Pennzoil Motorpsorts '99 takes place at the Fort Washington Expo Center just a short distance from Exit 26 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
