NASCAR, TRADE: Advanced Racing Technologies Develops 'Pro-Ride'

"PRO-RIDE" Multi-Channel Digital Ride Height GaugeAdvanced Racing Technologies, Inc. (ART) of Staatsburg New York manufacturer of laser optical gauges for motorsports announces the introduction of a new electronic measuring device called "Pro-Ride". This device is the first multi channel digital ride height gauge of it's kind.
Pro-Ride uses the latest in sold state micro controller technology developed for release in 1999. Pro-Ride is battery powered, so it can be used at any location. The standard model features four electronic sensors for measuring static ride height at all four chassis points at a resolution of one thousands of an inch. Measurements are fed back to a large character LCD display which gives you the ability to see all ride heights at the same time during your adjustment. The light weight computer module attaches to the sensors with twelve feet of sensor cable so the computerized LCD display can be moved to any point on the race car where your adjustment is made. The sensors are five inches tall, with a one inch of electronic travel and are designed with the ability to add extensions to give you almost unlimited reach to any measuring point. Optional platens are also available for more flexibility for racers who use electronic scales.
Need more sensors! The Pro-Ride not only has four standard sensor channels,but also has four additional optional channels for a total of eight sensors. This gives broad flexibility to any racer or race car developer.
Not only does the Pro-Ride supply you with accurate measurements, it also gives the racer a tool to reduce labor cost dramatically. Testing shows that ride height adjustment as a result of any operation can be reduced by eighty percent. This saves valuable time and reduces labor cost at the garage or race track.
