TRADE: Circle Track Magazine Racing Expo Preview

11 January 1999

LOS ANGELES -- Learn about crate motors, race ready products, low-buck racing tips and short track incentive programs straight from the OEM's at the Circle Track Magazine Racing Expo in Daytona Beach, Fla., Feb. 10-12, 1999.

A representative from GM demonstrate the immediate advantages of using a crate motor. "Crate motors are great for racers starting out. They require a low initial cost, have excellent durability and are low maintenance," says Jim Spaulding of GM Performance Parts. GM will also address the availability of inexpensive product service parts from the manufacturers. "Many people purchase inferior engine parts from junkyards in the interest of saving a few dollars. They don't realize that they can usually get a much better quality product from the manufacturer at almost the same cost," says Spaulding.

Expo attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about OEM incentive programs and how they benefit grassroots racers. A representative from Ford Motorsports will discuss incentive programs and answer questions about the different options available and what is needed to get involved.

Attendees will have the chance to ask the OEM's questions about products and programs face-to-face and get an answer on the spot.
