SUPERBIKE: Canadian Superbike Schedule Set

TORONTO, ON - A return to Atlantic Motorsport Park highlights the six-round 1999 Toyota Canada Superbike Championship schedule, which was released today.After a year's absence from the historic racing venue near Halifax, Canada's national motorcycle road racing tour will hold its fourth round there Aug. 6-8.
The series will open at Calgary's Race City Speedway Jun 11-13 and stage its traditional finale at Shannonville Motorsport Park, near Belleville, ON, on the Sept. 3-5 Labour Day weekend.
Rounds will also be held at Autodrome St-Eustache, near Montreal, July 9-11, Bowmanville, ON's Mosport Raceway July 23-25 and Circuit St-Felicien, in Quebec's Lac St-Jean region, Aug. 13-15. Canada Life Casualty Insurance will back the Mosport race.
"We do our best to go coast-to-coast with the series," said series director Colin Fraser of Professional Motorsport Productions. "We've had great events at Atlantic Motorsport Park in the past and we're looking forward to going back there in 1999."
The Race City round is expected to be a doubleheader, with a full set of heat and feature races on both Saturday and Sunday. All rounds of the championship will highlight the Toyota Canada Superbike feature class along with International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW Open Sport Bike and Yoshimura 600 Sport Bike support divisions.
Toyota Canada will return for a third year as title sponsor of the Superbike series, and will complement its involvement by promoting its new full size pick-up, the Tundra, at each round of the championship.
Each round of the Toyota Canada Superbike Championship will be broadcast on Speedvision.
