NASCAR: Jeff Gordon's Official Website Reaches 100,000,000 Hits

26 December 1998

Atlanta, Georgia-- A third Winston Cup Championship was not the only thing that November had in store for Jeff Gordon. There was still yet another dab of polish to be added to his lustrous career, and that polish was applied to an area that most past champions never even had the chance to shine during their time on the track.

The passing of November marks the 100,000,000th hit achieved by since its public debut on July 20, 1996. With the Internet's surge in popularity during the mid 90's, Jeff was again leading the pack. Not only was Jeff among the first drivers to have an official site on the web, but he was also the very first driver to proudly display his URL on the back of his uniform.
