Aftermarket Industry Struts its Stuff in Las Vegas

For Immediate Release

AUTO CENTRAL, OCTOBER 18, 1998 - The Auto Channel and Aftermarket Business Magazine will once again join forces to present complete live ``TV ON THE NET'' coverage of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada. The global Internet audience will be able to watch and listen to news reports, interviews and new product demonstrations featuring the industry's leading manufacturers and personalities.

AAIW is the combination of several industry organization tradeshows brought together under one giant umbrella. The two principals are SEMA, Specialty Equipment Market Association, and APAA, Automotive Parts and Accessories Association. Thousands of exhibitors and in excess of 100,000 buyers from more than 75 countries will fill every nook and cranny of available display space throughout the city.

The four-day exposition begins Tuesday, November 3rd, and ends Friday, November 6th. The Auto Channel's live TV ON THE NET broadcasts will originate from Aftermarket Business Magazine's exhibit area, booth #4226, at the Sands Convention Center, and a variety of locations in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Five 30 minute shows will be presented on each of the four days. Show times will be 9:30am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, 2:30pm and 4:00pm. All times are Pacific Time.

Veteran TV/radio personality and automotive repair guru Bobby Likis, of Car Clinic Radio Network, and host of his own nationally syndicated radio show, will anchor each of the broadcasts from the stage in the Sands Convention Center. Mike Anson and Jack Nerad, co-hosts of America On The Road, another popular nationally syndicated radio show, will conduct many of the interviews presented directly from the Las Vegas Convention Center. Both radio shows are also a part of The Auto Channel's regular weekly Internet broadcast schedule. Additionally, a roving TACH production crew will videotape interviews and product demonstrations at exhibitor displays.

This will be the third consecutive year that The Auto Channel and Aftermarket Business Magazine have teamed up to present exclusive live AAIW coverage. Based upon the continuing success of this joint effort, Aftermarket Business Magazine has agreed to increase the size of their display space to accommodate more interview guests and a larger on-location audience.

Interviews and product demonstrations are currently being scheduled. Individuals or companies wishing to appear on one of the broadcasts should contact Larkin Hill, PR Coordinator of The Auto Channel, at 916-852-1956 or via email at "lhill@theautochannel.com".
