NASCAR BGN: McLaughlin Heads to Milwaukee Mile with a Smile

2 July 1998

Goulds Pumps Chevrolet driver Mike McLaughlin heads into this weekends Busch Grand National race in Milwaukee with a smile on his face. Following last weekend's 2nd place finish in Watkins Glen, "Magic Shoes" is only 20 points out of the Busch Grand National Points lead and has regained the momentum lost in Richmond and Pikes Peak.

"It was nice to get through a race without running into something crazy like we did the two previous races," McLaughlin said. "Our team kept their heads ups and we rebounded well at our home track, Watkins Glen. Hopefully we can continue the upswing and run well this weekend in Milwaukee."
