AMA: K&N Joins in on Growth of AMA Grand National Dirt Track Series

10 June 1998

WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- K&N Air Filters have a long-standing reputation as a product of choice for racers competing in the American Motorcyclist Association Grand National Dirt Track Series. And now, K&N has been named the official air filter of AMA Grand National Championship Dirt Track racing, the AMA has announced.

"With the ESPN broadcast schedule and the interest in the Project 2000 dirt-track development plan, the Grand National Championship series is enjoying very positive exposure right now,'' said Merrill Vanderslice, director of competition for AMA Pro Racing. "K&N Air Filters wants to be a part of that, and we're glad to have them aboard."

Official product status brings K&N Air Filters high visibility at Grand National Dirt Track events and on AMADirectlink, the official web site of the AMA, at http://www.ama-cycle.org.

"Grand National Dirt Track racing is a great place for K&N Air Filters to demonstrate our high quality and advanced technology," said Tom Cates of K&N Engineering. "Many of the winning racers use only K&N Air Filters. We hope fans will realize that if a K&N Air Filter can handle the dusty conditions and extreme horsepower demands of Grand National Dirt Track racing, then a K&N Air Filter will provide superior protection and added performance for our everyday customers."
