Where: Hickory Motor Speedway, Hickory, NC, is a .363 mile semi-banked asphalt oval. The Speedway is located from I-40 to exit 128 (Fairgrove Church Rd.) then .5 mile South, then .5 mile West on US 70.

In 1997, Robert Huffman and David Hutto split the two events at Hickory Motor Speedway. Both, David and Robert won their respective races from the pole.

In the 40 Goody's Dash Series events held here since 1975, the winner has started from the pole 11 times.

Dean Combs scored 7 of his Series high 60 victories here at Hickory.

Larry Caudill won here 5 times. Robert Huffman and Johnny Chapman have each won 3 races here while 5 other drivers, George Crensaw, Mickey York, Billy Standridge Phil Parsons and the late Rob Moroso all won twice at Hickory Motor Speedway in the Goody's Dash Series.

This race marks the first short track event for the new V-6 engine.
