AMA: FAST Gets Award for Promoting Superbike Series at Laguna Seca

1997 WORLD SUPERBIKE ROUND AT LAGUNA SECA WINS INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZER AWARD WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- SBK Superbike International Ltd., presenter of the Federation Internationale Motocyclist (FIM) World Superbike Series, recently announced that First Auto Sports Television (FAST) has received the World Superbike Organizer Award for the promotion of the July 1997 World Superbike round at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, Calif. According to SBK International, FAST won the award for "the promotion and the spectacular nature of the event which will be a point of reference in 1998 for all the World Superbike Championship organizers." Dan Murphy, president of FAST, thanked AMA Pro Racing staff for their "can-do" attitude in dealing with the complexities of a World Superbike event.
