All-New Sunrise Models Offer Widebody Styling/Basement Storage

5 December 1997

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The new 1998 Itasca Sunrise from Winnebago Industries, Inc. has
all-new widebody, basement styling in three new model lines, the
Sunrise SE, Sunrise DL and Sunrise.

The Sunrise SE is an entry-level Class A product with storage galore.
The widebody styling offers flexible floorplan designs, while the
basement styling provides pass-through storage and plenty of room for
even large, bulky items, as well as heated holding tank compartments
for all-weather camping. The Sunrise SE is available in 26WU, 29WQ
and 31WQ models.

The Sunrise DL provides the same widebody, basement design, as well as
upgraded furniture styling, cabinetry and window treatments. Other
features such as a standard driver's door and special exterior
valance paint in platinum metallic or wintergreen metallic that
coordinate with the sporty new 1998 exterior graphics. Available in
31DQ and 33DQ models, the Sunrise DL 33DQ also includes an optional
slideout couch-bed for increased living area in the front of the
vehicle.

The third line, the Sunrise, has four models: 30WQ, 32WQ, 34WA and
35WP. Each features full basement storage with laminated risers that
provide large pass-through storage compartments. Inside, the increased
height of the basement means that there is no step up into the driving
compartment, providing easy access from the rest of the motor home.
The full-basement design also allowed Winnebago Industries engineers
to run the furnace plenum through the floor, providing both heated
holding tank compartments and even distribution of warm air throughout
the motor home. The Sunrise 35WP model also has an optional slideout
room with couch-bed and dinette.

All Sunrise series models feature a complete galley, living room and
large rear bedroom with standard queen-size bed and plenty of room to
walk around the bed. A twin bed option is also available. All
Sunrise series units also feature large wardrobes and roomy baths.
The Sunrise 34WA model even has a full rear wall of storage available
in the bedroom. A new Videoman rearview monitor with audio feature is
now available on this line for ease of campground parking and for use
in heavy traffic.

You'll stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter with the
3 1/4-inch roof that has an 'R' rating factor of 14.62. The
roof air conditioner is ducted through the roof with dampening,
directional vents to distribute cool air more efficiently and quietly
throughout the entire motor home. Dual-pane windows are also
available as an option to increase the use of the Sunrise on a
year-round basis.

The Sunrise has a one-piece fiberglass roof, which not only adds
structural integrity, it doesn't expand and contract, or tear like
rubber membranes and is backed by a 10-year parts and labor warranty.
The fiberglass sidewall material is also covered by a 10-year
warranty.

In addition to the standard 12 month/15,000 mile bumper to bumper
warranty, there is a limited warranty on lamination for 3 years/36,000
miles. Every new owner of a 1998 Sunrise automatically receives a
free one-year membership in the Preferred Care Program which provides
24-hour customer assistance and emergency road service throughout the
United States and Canada. Winnebago Industries also provides
toll-free assistance for both owners and dealers to obtain technical
service information.
