The Sunflyer is Back - Features Slideout Livability Without Sacrificing Storage

5 December 1997

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Itasca Sunflyer is a remarkable new Class A motor home from
Winnebago Industries, Inc. with slideout livability and superior
floorplan flexibility without sacrificing storage as so many slideout
models can. The Sunflyer name is back after a four year absence, an
all-new widebody basement styled motor home with three new floorplan
offerings: the 33WB, 35WH and 36WL.

The Sunflyer has a striking aerodynamic appearance, while offering
great new technological features that set new standards in both motor
home livability and function. The Sunflyer's most important
technology advantage is in the utilization of the new StoreMore(TM)
slideout system that provides large, well insulated and laminated
compartments on the exterior that slide out with the room for easy
access to stored items. The slideout is also user friendly. There is
no step up in front of the convertible couch/bed and beautiful
overhead cabinets provide plentiful interior storage as well.

Even without the slideout, the Sunflyer's widebody design provides
an impressive eight feet of interior width for additional interior
livability space and more interior storage, while the basement-style
design provides deeper exterior storage compartments as well. Heat is
ducted into the fixed compartments and the exterior service center for
year-round use of the motor home. For ease of usage, the service
center has a new design with a swivel drain valve, black water holding
tank flush system, sewer hose and cover, telephone and cable TV inputs
and a 90 degree fresh water fill with tank fill diverter valve.

Further innovation is provided with the Sunflyer's split electrical
power system. This system provides separate circuit breaker panels
for 120 VAC and 12 VDC with a 45 amp converter/charger (33WB) or 55
amp converter/charger (35WH, 36WL) that are remotely located to reduce
heat and noise to the interior of the coach. The system also includes
an automatic shore power/generator changeover switch. A thirty amp
detachable power supply cord is standard, while the 50 amp detachable
is optional.

Another new technological breakthrough for the Sunflyer is the
Powerline(TM) Energy Management System. When utilizing 30 amp
service, this fully automatic system has the ability to run two roof
air conditioners at the same time by monitoring the usage of 120 volt
electrical power and redistributing the power as needed. The
Sunflyer's high efficiency air conditioning is ducted through the
roof with dampening, directional vents so that the cooled air may be
distributed efficiently and quietly throughout the entire motor home,
in addition to providing a reduction in the 120 VAC electrical load.

The Sunflyer is designed with a large panoramic windshield and side
windows, and an aerodynamic front-end design, providing superior
driver and passenger vision. Visibility is further enhanced with
standard fog lights. A standard drivers' door, a wide entrance door
and entrance steps with rubber, non-skid matting provide ease of
entry.

High line interior appointments provide the Sunflyer with distinctive
eye appeal inside the coach as well. Two of the new Sunflyer models,
the 33WB and 36WL diesel pusher feature a new galley slideout with
convertible couch/bed. Thanks to the new StoreMoreÔ slideout
system, galley storage is plentiful. Each floorplan provides unique
and innovative touches such as the special lounge table in the 33WB
with sliding extension top. Located behind the passenger seat, the
table provides an excellent writing or computer work space with a 120
VAC duplex receptacle and telephone wall plate. The 33WB also
features a private toilet and lavatory room with a full tub/shower and
linen storage across the hall.

The 36WL also features a unique bathroom arrangement with private
toilet area, large corner tub/shower with glass door and privacy
panels, lavatory and wardrobe. All models have an innovative slideout
workstation available that is mounted on top of the passenger side of
the dashboard with handy storage below. The workstation is perfect
for working on your computer or for writing postcards to your family
and friends.

Service after the sale is important to Winnebago Industries. In
addition to the standard 12 month/15,000 mile bumper to bumper
warranty. The Sunflyer has a limited warranty on lamination for 3
years/36,000 miles. The one-piece fiberglass roof is backed by a
10-year parts and labor warranty, while the fiberglass sidewall
material is also covered by a 10-year warranty. Every new owner of a
1998 Sunflyer automatically receives a free one-year membership in the
Preferred Care Program which provides 24-hour customer assistance and
emergency road service throughout the United States and Canada.
Winnebago Industries also provides toll-free assistance for both
