Adventurer Redesigned for 1998 - Expansive Storage in New Widebody Motor Homes

5 December 1997

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

For the ultimate quest, the Winnebago Adventurer is just the ticket to
enjoying exciting destinations. The 1998 Adventurer has been
redesigned for 1998 to fit even more fun into this widebody,
basement-styled Class A motor home line. Seven models are offered,
three of which are brand new for 1998, and range in length from
approximately 30 to 37 feet.

There's lots of room to pack your favorite things in the
Adventurer. The raised floor design provides deep, well-insulated
storage compartments. Four slideout models are available. Three of
these models -- the 33WQ (available January 1998), 35WP and 37WW --
have the new StoreMore(TM) slideout system available that adds
approximately 120 cubic feet of living area to the motor home when
extended. This new slideout system includes full overhead cabinets
inside, as well as large laminated exterior storage compartments that
extend with the slideout to easily retrieve your stored items. A
raised floor design provides deep, well-insulated storage compartments
with pass-through storage available on most models.

The new 33WQ features a standard galley slide that includes a
double-sink, three-burner stove, microwave, beautiful custom-built
cabinets, and a convertible couch/bed that extends when you're
ready to set up camp. The remaining slideout models feature a
comfortable couch/bed with moveable coffee table and a dinette or an
optional drop-leaf table with chairs.

The Adventurer provides 'Home Comfort Design' with high-line
fabrics, stain-resistant carpets and beautiful interior furnishings.
Combined with very functional floor plans, the Adventurer provides all
the comforts of home. The Adventurer is yours to design with four
beautiful interior color choices, cabinets in either Waterford Oak or
White Granite and two choices of exterior valance paint colors.

The Adventurer's bus-like styling utilizes a large panoramic
windshield and side windows, as well as shorter front-end design
provide superior driver and passenger vision. Comfortable high-back
driver's seat with adjustable lumbar support, adjustable height on
the shoulder belt of the three-point seat belts and a great stereo
system make driving the Adventurer a real pleasure.

The Adventurer is a motor home for all seasons. The 3 1/4-inch roof
has an extremely high 'R' rating factor of 14.62. The roof air
conditioning is ducted through the roof with dampening, directional
vents so that the cooled air may be distributed efficiently and
quietly throughout the entire motor home. Heated holding tank
compartments are available on all models and dual-pane windows are
also available as an option to increase the use of the Adventurer on a
year-round basis.

The Adventurer has some exciting new options available for 1998,
including a mobile theater system for great surround-sound affects. A
new AM/FM/CD in-dash stereo is also available, as well as a AM/FM/CD
stereo in the exterior entertainment center. A new slide-out
workstation is now available and is mounted on top of the passenger
side of the dashboard with handy storage below. The workstation works
great for working on your computer or for writing home to recount your
adventures to your loved ones. A large side-by-side refrigerator and
a microwave/convection oven are now available in the galley.

A convenient driver's door is also available on all models.

The Adventurer's one-piece fiberglass roof adds structural
integrity and won't expand and contract, or tear like rubber
membranes. The roof is backed by a 10-year parts and labor warranty,
while the fiberglass sidewall material is covered by a 10-year
warranty. A leader in service and warranty, Winnebago Industries
provides a 12 month/15,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty on the
Adventurer with a limited warranty on lamination for 3 years/36,000
miles. Every new owner of a 1998 Adventurer automatically also
receives a free one-year membership in the Preferred Care Program
which provides 24-hour customer assistance and emergency road service
throughout the United States and Canada. Winnebago Industries also
provides toll-free assistance for both owners and dealers to obtain
technical service information.
