Harley Davidson and American Suzuki Join AMA Awards Banquet Sponsors

HARLEY-DAVIDSON AND AMERICAN SUZUKI JOIN AMA NATIONAL CHAMPIONS AWARDS
BANQUET SPONSORS

WESTERVILLE, Ohio --  Harley-Davidson Motor Company and American Suzuki
have signed on as sponsors of the American Motorcyclist Association
National Champions Awards Banquet.  The AMA /Speedvision Pro Athlete of the
Year -- the highest honor the AMA presents to professional riders -- will
be named at the banquet Dec. 13, at the Flamingo Hilton Las Vegas.

Harley-Davidson has 90 years of racing experience and has long been the
dominant marque in the AMA Grand National Dirt Track Series.  Scott Parker
rode a Harley-Davidson to his record eighth Grand National Championship in
1997. Harley-Davidson motorcycles have also been prominent in the MBNA
Superbike Series and in 1998 are expected to compete in the new AMA
Progressive Insurance Pro Thunder class.

American Suzuki has been a long-time contender in AMA Motocross, Supercross
and  MBNA Superbike. Suzuki captured its share of titles in 1997, with Tim
Ferry winning the AMA 125cc Eastern Region Motocross Championship and Jason
Pridmore taking the 1997 Teamline 750cc SuperSport championship on a Suzuki
GSXR750. 

Harley-Davidson and American Suzuki  join Bricker & Eckler, Cycle News,
Naughton Insurance, PACE Motor Sports, Speedvision Network, American Honda
Motor Co., Kawasaki Motor Co., the American Motorcycle Institute and
American Motorcyclist magazine as sponsors of the AMA National Champions
Awards Banquet.
