OLIVER TAKES TOP ELF FUELS AND LUBRICANTS 250cc GRAND PRIX BONUS
	
WESTERVILLE, Ohio --  Elf Fuels and Lubricants -- title sponsor of the 1997
American Motorcyclist Association's (AMA) 250cc Grand Prix Series --
recently paid $10,000 in championship bonuses to the top ten AMA Pro Racing
250cc Grand Prix racers.  Elf is one of the world's largest oil and gas
producers and a long-time backer of championship motorsport teams
world-wide. Elf Fuels and Lubricants will continue as title sponsor of the
1998 AMA 250cc Grand Prix series.

1997 series Champion Rich Oliver was the top winner of the 1997 Elf Fuels
and Lubricants bonuses. Oliver -- a master of 250cc Grand Prix racing --
won every race during the 1996 and 1997 seasons and has taken the
championship for the past four years.
