FAST KIDS: New Motorsports TV Series for the Young
20 October 1997
FAST KIDS will make its debut in 1998 as a fast-paced, educational program that focuses on the rapidly growing youth motorsports industry. In particular, it will feature young racers who race go karts through the World Karting Association, who race motorcycles through the American Motorcycle Association, and who drag race through the National Hot Rod Association's Jr. Drag Racing League. Special programs will also focus on youth racers of stock cars, jet skis, and powerboats.
FAST KIDS features the FAST KIDS RACING SCHOOL. Included in each class segment are "Flash," an aspiring racer, "Tune-Up," a female mechanic/crew chief, and "E-Z," Flash's pet greyhound. They are joined by NASCAR superstar JOHN ANDRETTI, who has signed up to host the program's first 39 episodes. The program's goal is to present motorsports in a way most young people will understand. Various guests including youth race industry personalities and popular professional drivers will provide additional racing tips and information to FAST KIDS' youthful viewing audience. Watch for FAST KIDS on television in '98.
