Seminar for Aspiring Road Racers Planned for Bridgestone Grand Championships

WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- A seminar for aspiring professional road racers
sponsored by the American Motorcyclist Association will be held on
Friday, September 26, during the Bridgestone Grand Championships at
New Hampshire International Speedway. Speakers at the hour-long
seminar will be AMA Pro Racing Road Racing Manager Ron Barrick and AMA
Pro Racing Media Relations Liaison Larry Lawrence.

The seminar will be aimed at all riders wanting to improve the image
of the sport by professionally presenting themselves to sponsors and
to the media. The seminar is open to all racers attending the Grand
Championships and is free of charge.

Barrick will advise racers on successful methods of nurturing good
relationships with existing sponsors and ways of building on those
sponsorships. He will also discuss methods of presenting a
professional image.

Lawrence will talk on proven ways of communicating with the
media. Emphasis will be on various approaches to developing good
relationships with local media for up-and-coming racers.

The seminar will be held in the infield cafeteria on Friday afternoon
after the final race of the day.

The AMA Grand Championships will take place on September 26-28, at New
Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon, N.H.
