PRIDMORE TAKES CHAMPIONSHIP IN
TEAMLINE 750CC SUPERSPORT SERIES

WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- Jason Pridmore, 27, earned his first AMA national
title with his Aug. 31, victory in the Teamline 750cc SuperSport
Series at Sonoma, Calif. The win gave the Ventura, Calif., racer a
runaway 92 point lead going into the Oct. 5 season finale at Las Vegas
Motor Speedway, after he won seven of nine races this season. With
only 36 points available to any winner at Las Vegas, Pridmore and his
Hyper Cycle Suzuki have a mathematical lock on the title.

Pridmore began competing in AMA Pro Racing in 1990, and has raced in
the 600cc and 750cc SuperSport classes. He finished second in the
1992 750cc SuperSport series, and had five 750cc podium finishes in
1994. Injuries sidelined Pridmore for the 1995 series, and the 1996
season proved to be a challenge, his best finish a second place at Las
Vegas in the 600cc SuperSport final.

With 11-career 750cc SuperSport wins, Pridmore is second to Scott
Russell on the all-time AMA wins list in that series.

This year's Teamline 750cc SuperSport Championship is certainly a
career highpoint, but Pridmore also made the history books while
carrying on a family legacy. His father is legendary three-time AMA
Superbike Champion Reg Pridmore, and Jason's 1997 title marks the
first father-son combination to win AMA national road-racing titles.

The Teamline 750cc SuperSport Series is limited to production-based
motorcycles. SuperSport racers use DOT-approved street tires, and
modifications are severely restricted.
