Pedigree Vintage Race Cars to Race at Fabled Coronado Island

General Racing, the folks that put on the best vintage car race in the U.S. and who are most likely still laughing over the amateurish handling of the Los Angeles street race last weekend have announced a race will be held at the North Island Naval Air station in Coronado, Ca November 22-23 this year.

Titled the Chrysler Classic Speed Festival the race is being held as part of the Holiday Bowl_s Festival of events which precedes the famed Holiday Bowl post-season football game.

This will not be a _you all come_ type of race wherein the organizers try to get 60 cars per race event and then find it_s so packed in the paddock and on the track everyone is disgruntled and track time is minimal. Featuring 150 of the worlds fines vintage race cars running on a 1.5 MI course of airport runways the cars will be selected as to authenticity and must be historically significant.
