Super High Speed Silver State Classic Blasts Off from Showboat Hotel in Vegas

The annual Silver State Classic race consisting of 5 classes of street/touring cars gets off down 90 miles of Nevada highway...Lund, Nv to Hiko, Nv, September 18 and goes through Sunday, Sept 21.

The host/headquarters for the high speed romp will once again be the Showboat Hotel and Casino and the festivities include tech inspection at the Showboat, practice at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, a car show and awards dinner at the hotel Sunday night.

Five classes of cars compete starting with the Touring class...95 mph, Grand Touring...115-125, Grand Sport...130-150 mph, Super Sport....155-165 mph and Unlimited...180 mph plus. Nevada highway 318 gets closed down for the dash that allows any driver with a valid drivers license to enter and which was won by Kelly Sievers, Brookings,Ore in his Corvette going averaging 189.26 mph for the 90 miles.
